one of the best videos ever.

This, by far, is my most favourite video of all time. The song, the music, the video, everything about it blows me away.

The song is called "What else is there?" by Royksopp featuring Karin Dreijer Andersson of 'The Knife' an electro pop duo from Sweden. I have been a fan of both artists for some time.

Karin's voice is so uniquely beautiful, so haunting and sad at the same time.

I have watched the video a million times but I can't figure out what the video is about. A car crash? A sense of loneliness? It's been bugging me, especially the part where a milky substance drips down her leg. What do you think this symbolises? Do you have any idea? I would love to hear your opinion of it.

For those of you who will be attending the TYS chat later, have fun! I wish I could be there but it'll be 1:30am here which means I will be in dreamland by then.

Hope everyone's having a good day.

Much love.

  1. OMG! OMG! OMG! Its there!!! did you have to pay?? Are you goingto take pics and blog about it please ;9 I'm jealous of the other blog posts you wrote about gifts you received!! I'm so happy you got it - I hope it made you smile!!

Ok now about this video - I LOVE it! thank you for introducing it and them to me - in fact I may blog about this video too - its just so beautiful (no worries I will give you props). I think some things were just done for their visual impact and artistry more than for their meaning. I loved it!

  2. beautiful!

i love royksopp and have never seen this. so happy that you posted it.

the video is really haunting. i don't know what it's about - i get a sense of "the known" crumbling and a dark evolution happening. but not sure about that milky substance.

alas, this is how i judge a truly great video: i want to watch it again and again to figure it out and absorb the artistry! so few videos are like this any more for me...

  4. I don't usually dwell much about the video XD

I saw this video a couple of years ago when I
heard my DJ play another version of this song.
(I prefer that mix he played though. this is
    a tad slow for me.)

this was on my repeat list for some time ;D
